About Us:

A Reflection In Glass Stained Glass Studio is owned and operated by Del & Teri Giffin. At the very beginning some of the pieces that were made came from purchased patterns; however, almost immediately Del began designing his own patterns. This was the culmination of a life long love of art and drawing. It wasn’t very long before everything that came out of A Reflection In Glass was from Del’s original designs. The only exception is some lamps such as Tiffany reproductions.

Over time embellishments began to appear such as taxidermy eyes on fish and birds. Also once a kiln was acquired, fired on paint was

added to many of the pieces. With the kiln came fused and slumped glass. As a result three dimensional flowers were added to the line. A companion to stained glass is etched glass. While living in Eugene, Oregon Del began doing some etched pieces to enhance some of the stained glass projects. At that time he was able to rent sandblaster time at a local glass supply store. After moving the business to Boise, Idaho it became necessary to purchase our own sandblaster and booth. After awhile it became apparent that glassware and trophies were a natural extension.

If you have an idea, Del can incorporate it into a design for your custom built window(s). Using a special graphics program designed specifically for designing stained glass patterns, he is able to scan in photographs and turn them into stained glass patterns or etched glass designs with extremely fine detail. Although he is capable of designing almost anything that you would desire his specialty is nature and wildlife. This comes about due to a life long love of the outdoors and all things wild. When he first began making stained glass items, he was extremely disappointed in the patterns that were available for birds, fish and animals. Most had human shaped eyes; birds had wings that looked more like palm fronds than wings; deer and other horned/antlered animals had horns or antlers that looked more like tree branches. The result was designs that included more realistic looking animals, fish, birds and flowers. This will become evident as you peruse our photo gallery.

Pricing is determined by many factors such as size, complication of design and number of pieces. Before we can quote a price we need to determine exactly what it is that you desire and what your budget allows. Then we can come up with a design that suits both your desires and your budget.

We sell etched glassware both retail and wholesale. Wholesale pricing is based on quantity

Because our studio is located in our shop behind our home, we ask that you call before coming by. We may be out installing another beautiful creation and would hate to miss you. By calling first we can arrange a time that will work well for you and us both. Feel free to give us a call at any time Monday through Saturday 8:30 to 5:30 mountain time.
